Aim of the course:
Building on the foundational understanding of XR’s educational potential, this course positions immersive technologies within learner-centred, experiential and work-based pedagogical models in VET.
The course explores how XR can support pedagogical innovation when aligned with competence-based curricula, assessment practices and real workplace requirements. Drawing on European case studies, it emphasises XR as a complementary tool that enhances autonomy, reflection and authentic learning experiences.
Participants will analyse pedagogical approaches and identify transferable principles for integrating XR into their own teaching and training practice.
Main ideas:
- Understanding learner-centred, experiential and work-based pedagogies as foundations for XR integration in VET.
- Exploring how XR supports competency-based curricula through autonomy, task variety, feedback and reflection.
- Analysing European case studies (XR4CRAFTS, TOURXPERIENCE, ALLVIEW) from a pedagogical perspective.
- Identifying how XR contributes to transversal competences, including digital, social, entrepreneurial and sustainability skills.
