Aim of the course:
This course serves as the starting point of the MOOC Digital Skills for Teaching VET, establishing a common reference framework for understanding how digital transformation shapes contemporary vocational education and training.
This course introduces VET teachers and trainers to the key concepts, frameworks and project-based initiatives driving digital transformation in vocational education and training. It focuses on educators’ digital competences, as framed by DigCompEdu, and on how European projects in the wood and furniture sector support innovation, collaboration and modernisation of dual VET systems.
By analysing practical examples from projects such as ShiftVET and ALLVIEW, participants will explore how digital curricula, virtual workshops and centres of vocational excellence can be leveraged to improve teaching quality, inclusion and responsiveness to labour-market needs.
