Aim of the course:
This course concludes the MOOC by broadening the perspective from individual XR applications to the strategic design of sustainable and future-oriented training programmes.
It focuses on how XR can be integrated within coherent pedagogical frameworks that support sustainability, inclusion and competence development in VET. The course connects immersive technologies with European policy frameworks and long-term educational objectives.
Participants will reflect on how to design training pathways in which XR contributes meaningfully to green skills development and responsible educational innovation.
Main ideas:
- Understanding core principles of sustainability in education and training design.
- Integrating green and circular practices into digital and XR-based learning (e.g. reducing digital waste, encouraging virtual collaboration).
- Designing training programmes and pathways that explicitly develop green skills in VET, aligned with GreenComp.
- Connecting sustainable learning design with resource efficiency, energy awareness and environmental responsibility.
- Supporting the green transition in the Habitat and construction sectors through pedagogical choices.
