Aim of the course:
This course translates user experience and interaction-design principles into practical methods for designing and prototyping immersive learning experiences within the MOOC pathway.
It supports VET teachers and trainers in transforming pedagogical ideas into concrete XR concepts through human-centred design, storyboarding, user journeys and iterative prototyping. The focus is on feasibility, alignment with learning objectives and preparation for further technical development.
Participants will gain hands-on insight into how early-stage prototyping supports usability, learning quality and informed decision-making in XR design.
Main ideas:
- Translating pedagogical goals and learner needs into concepts for immersive XR learning experiences.
- Using design-thinking tools (personas, user journeys, storyboards) to plan XR scenarios and activities.
- Creating low-fidelity and early prototypes (paper, slides, simple digital mock-ups) to explore flow, content and interaction.
