Aim of the course:
This course extends the MOOC Digital Skills for Teaching VET by applying digital teaching competences to broader societal priorities, positioning digital education as a driver of responsible and future-oriented vocational learning.
This course supports VET teachers and trainers in using digital tools to foster green and inclusive education. It focuses on how to integrate sustainability, energy efficiency and circular-economy concepts into vocational programmes through digital platforms, real-time data and open educational resources.
By exploring examples such as BIM-based tools, lifecycle-assessment platforms and online labs, participants learn how to design learning activities that promote environmental awareness, resource efficiency and social inclusion in the Habitat and construction sectors.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to identify and select appropriate digital tools to support green and inclusive education in VET contexts, integrate sustainability and circular-economy concepts into digitally supported learning activities, and design pedagogical approaches that foster environmental awareness, resource efficiency and social inclusion in the built environment and habitat-related sectors.
Main ideas:
- Using digital tools (e.g. BIM, real-time data platforms) to teach energy efficiency and green transition in buildings.
- Embedding circular-economy and resource-efficiency concepts into VET through digital resources.
- Developing learners’ green and digital competences simultaneously.
- Designing inclusive learning activities that make sustainability topics accessible to diverse VET learners.
- Connecting classroom learning to real-world sustainability challenges in the built environment.
